Driver Current Updated megaraid_sas 00.00.05.40-rh2 00.00.05.40n-rh2 (*2)NECESSARY
- Extract this file and change to following directory.
# cd RHEL5_x86/driver ( if x86 system )
# cd RHEL5_EM64T/driver ( if x86_64 system )
- Install KMP packages.
In case Kernel version is 2.6.18-308.el5
# rpm -ivh --nodeps --nosignature megaraid_sas/kmod-nec-megaraid_sas-00.00.05.40n*.rpm
In case Kernel version is 2.6.18-308.el5PAE
# rpm -ivh --nodeps --nosignature megaraid_sas/*-PAE-*.rpm
- Install KMP common packages.
# rpm -ivh --nodeps --nosignature megaraid_sas/*noarch.rpm
- Restart the Operating System.
Disable EDAC modules. EDAC module will prevent hardware from collecting IPMI logs which is necessary for hardware support.
- Edit /etc/modprobe.conf and append the following.
install *_edac /bin/true
install edac_* /bin/true
- Restart the Operating System.
- Check that string "edac" is not shown in the result of lsmod.
