Waste Disposal and Public Cleaning Law

A Japanese law determining emission controls for, and proper disposal of, waste materials.

Waste emissions

External emissions of waste materials (municipal and industrial waste), including through recycling.

Waste material subject to special control

This is explosive, toxic, or infectious waste material (municipal waste material or industrial waste material) that may cause damage to the health or living environment of humans. This kind of waste material is divided into two categories: municipal waste material subject to special control and industrial waste material subject to special control.

Waste materials

This describes either liquid or solid items that have fulfilled their specified purpose and are either temporarily or permanently unnecessary. Under the Waste Disposal and Public Cleaning Law these are classified as municipal waste material, municipal waste material subject to special control, industrial waste material or industrial waste material subject to special control.

Water conservation device

A device attached to a faucet that allows water to be saved without the appearance of it being reduced.

Web meeting

A meeting held via the Internet using a Web conference server (a tool that enables bidirectional and multipoint communication and collaboration using video, voice, and data applications). Anyone at any place of business can participate simply by connecting their PC to the network, and multiple meetings can be held simultaneously.
