Hexavalent chromeless steel plate
A steel plate made from a metal or plating surface chemically treated with metallic coating for corrosion-resistance or decorative purposes. Hexavalent chromeless steel plates do not include hexavalent chromium in their coating.
Hexavalent chromium
Chromium occurs as a chemical compound in the environment primarily in valence States 3 and 6, which are referred to as trivalent and hexavalent, respectively. Hexavalent chromium is said to be much more toxic to life forms and have a greater amount of mobility in soil.
