| About this activity | The community is approximately 40 families that occupy 35km arranged in groups of four to six houses in which live between six and eight people including children and adults. The more disadvantaged are live between 17 and 25 km away from the school. Clothes were dathered for the children and the delivery arrived the day of the event in which there was a inflatable castle that the children enjoyed enormously. Also, we shared candies and a football game with them. The clothes and footwear was collected at the headquarters of NEC Argentina. |

| About this activity | NEC organizes the "Electronic recycling week", an event in which employees participate bringing old equipment, platelets, cables, damaged peripherals. The collected scrap is sent to Fundacion Ambiente y Sociedad, that along with the "cooperative recycling work and dignity", provides employment to low-income people, reparing or recycling electronic material. The project has double objective, on the one hand to avoid contamination of the soil and on the other to create new jobs by promoting social inclusion. In these two years we have also invited the children of the employees to help us collect electronic scrap in their schools. |

| About this activity | In order to collect donation money for the Parents Initiative for Children with Cancer, NEC staff participated in various activities throughout the year 2012, e.g. a charity run and sample and giveaway sales. The total amount collected was rounded up by NEC DS Management to make it a sum of EUR 12.000. A cheque was handed over to the chairman of the organization at a breakfast in the hospital where NEC DS management and staff participated. The money will be used to support children suffering from cancer by helping equip rooms where they can play and rooms for their parents and for paying doctors, nurses, psychiatrists and other staff, to organize a "mobile school for children", and a lot more. |

| About this activity | NEC Poland has been supporting the Foundation for Children "Help on Time" (Fundacja Dzieciom "Zdążyć z Pomocą") since the beginning of 2012. This Foundation provides care for children with special needs. One of their recent initiatives has consisted in opening a rehabilitation centre, to host children in need of treatment from all over the country. NEC Eastern Europe Kft. (Poland Branch) has supported the inauguration of this accommodation centre (hostel) where both children and their parents will be able to stay free of charge during the rehabilitation period. To celebrate the launch of this initiative, and taking the opportunity of the Polish Children's Day (1st June 2012, NEC Eastern Europe Kft. organized a special event for this foundation on 30th May 2012. This was a truly magical day. NEC employees came to meet the children and the Magic Mouse (the Mink Mouse) in person was there, waiting to greet everyone! The children and their parents were delighted, and the 3 first children to be accommodated received presents and balloons donated generously by NEC employees. |

| About this activity | NEC France S.A.S is an official partner of Flyn'Kiss and provides funding, logistical support and infrastructure support. On May 10th and 11th 2012, Flyn'kiss, with its partner INGESUP (IT Higher Education School "École d'ingénierie informatique") participated in the famous Breitling 100/24 Cup. The Breitling 100/24 Cup is a 24 hours flying race with the goal to achieve 100 landings on different airfields in France in 24 hours. For every airfield they touched, Flyn'kiss offered one additional flight to 3 children. The plane of Flyn'kiss displayed proudly the NEC logo on its wings! Flyn'kiss also entered a partnership with the ENM school (National Meteorology school – "Ecole Nationale de la Météo") to help them with the weather forecast in live transmission during this competition. |

| About this activity | Earth day that marks the conservation of natural resources by recycle re-use was celebrated in our company this year too. The objective was to make people aware of how important it is for us to conserve the trees, water and energy for the posterity and what methods can be devised to do so. We organized activities like EARTH DAY QUIZ and ART RECYCLYED contest. The employees were encouraged to re-create useful things out of trash like pet bottles, old invitation cards, unused plastic material etc. There were 5 teams with two participants each and all had created masterpieces with their creativity and ideas. We received an overwhelming response for Earth day quiz participation with 5 teams and great audience bubbling with answers of all the Earth and environment related questions. |

NEC HCL ST joined hands with Goonj in provoding clothes and medicines for people impacted by flood. We collected about 4 big ploybags and 1 carton of clothes and about 1 polybag of medicines like antibiotics and bandages etc. All this collection was donated to the NGO called "Goonj". |

| About this activity | NEC Italia S.p.A. has implemented an initiative to involve its employees in a CSR action for the relief of their affected compatriots in the Emilia Romagna region. Employees interested in helping are able to devote a certain number of worked hours in favour of the population of the damaged areas. Practically it means that from their June pay slip, 1 or 2 hours (according to their choice) will be deduced from their net salary, and NEC Italy will match the amount they donate. The total amount raised will be transferred directly to the Emilia Romagna region in order to provide relief. |

| About this activity | At the beginning of June 2012, eight staff members of NEC Infrontia Limited based in Nottingham (UK), geared up to climb the UK's highest mountains in a single weekend. They took part in "The 3 Peaks Challenge", one of the most prestigious mountain endurance challenges in the UK, in association with Action for Charity, a charity working to save the lives of children with disabilities and illnesses. The team supported Rainbows Hospice for young children, with a running sponsorship total of £4,016. Stewart Hayles, NEC Product Specialist said "We did this through Action for Charity to raise money for Action for Medical Research, which works to improve the health of sick children and babies. The challenge was great for team-building as we even be trained together in the Peak District to get prepared! The hiking covered the heights of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon. None of us have ever completed this challenge before, so this was great new achievement!" |

| About this activity | NEC Telecom Software Philippines, Inc. (NSP) donated a total of 21 personal computers to 3 public schools in Toledo City (South of Cebu) namely, General Climaco National High School, Malubog Elementary School, and Old Bucao Elementary School. The project is aimed at supporting each school computer literacy program and produce competitive students in all subject areas especially in Science and Technology. The Order of Discalced Augustinians (OAD)also became recipient of 6 PC units. The OAD is home to several seminarians who wish to enter priesthood. |

| About this activity | NEC Telecom Software Philippines, Inc (NSP) donated tables, cabinets, bookshelves, and bulletin boards to the Cebu City Public Library to augment their limited equipment and amenities. According to the City Librarian an average of 90 to 100 users frequent the public library on a monthly basis. The Cebu City public library was organized in April 1919 and underwent renovation in 2008. At present it occupies the ground floor of the Rizal Memorial Library and Museum. |

| About this activity | NEC Telecom Software Philippines Inc. volunteers trooped to Nuvali in Sta. Rosa Laguna on August 4 to participate in the annual tree-planting event dubbed as Multreeply. This event was organized by Haribon Foundation, Inc. and Nuvali Estates and NSP was fortunate to be part of it. It is the best follow-up MDD campaign after we had the potting activity last March at Haribon nursery in Caliraya, Laguna. Multreeply is also part of Haribon Road to 2020 project, which aims to restore one million hectares of rainforests by year 2020. According to Haribon, more than 2,000 volunteers participated in this year Multreeply, increasing from last year 1,800. This also means more trees were planted. For NSP, we were able to plant 44 saplings. |

On hand to accept the donation is the City Mayor of Cebu and the Executive Team of Fort San Pedro. NEC Telecom Software Philippines Inc. President, Mr. Hisao Yagi, formally turned over the donated items consist of wooden cabinets, office tables, swivel chairs, welcome board and granite reception counter. |

| About this activity | Thirty six volunteers from NSP joined the tree planting activity held on 13 October 2012 in Barangay Malubog, Busay - a mountain barangay. Travel time took 2 hours. Prior to the actual planting of trees, representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) gave a briefing on the general conditions of the mountains in Cebu and on proper ways to plant trees. A total of 200 seedlings were planted that day. |

| About this activity | NEC Telecom Software Philippines employees donated P36,775 to the victims of Typhoon Pablo (international name: Bopha) on December 10, 2012. A total of 6 boxes of usable clothes were also collected. Typhoon Pablo hit landfall in Mindanao, with that island's Davao region being the hardest hit. The death toll from Pablo's sweep on Dec. 4 has reached 1,067, with another 800 missing, according to civil defense officials. More than 60,000 people have been left homeless. The devastation brought on by the recent typhoon has greatly affected agricultural sector of the region. |

| About this activity | On March 5, 2013, sixteen volunteers from NSP participated in the bloodletting activity which lasted for 4 hours (1:00PM ~ 5:00PM). Seven representatives from the Philippine Red Cross facilitated the mass blood donation and saw to it that volunteers underwent all necessary pre-screening requirements, including one-on-one interviews. A total of 7,200cc of blood was extracted. The Philippine Red Cross approximately supplies one-fourth of the country national blood requirements. |

| About this activity | Spreading Holiday Joy to Children! NEC TOKIN America Inc. held its 7th annual toy drive for the Toys for Tots organization. Thanks to everyone generosity, employees donated USD$193.97 and the company double matched with a monetary donation of USD$387.94 for a grand total of USD$581.91. In addition, employee volunteers spent a total of 20 hours sorting toys at the local Toys for Tots warehouse in San Jose, California, ensuring that toys get distributed during the holidays. The Marine Toys for Tots organization has been around for 60 years in the United States. The program collects new, unwrapped toys each year and distributes collected toys as Christmas gifts for needy children in the local community to share joy during the holidays. |

| About this activity | The Medical Services and volunteer employees of NEC/TOKIN have once again reached out to the community through its Medical & Dental Mission 2012. The activity involved the consultation of 49 pediatrics patients (age 1mon-15y/o) to Dra. Suaverde (Family Medicine); while 48 adult patients (age 19y.o-79y/o) consulted Dra. Maritoni Mabutas (Family Physician). Dental services were provided to 52 patients (age 8y.o and above), some of which had multiple extractions. Eye check up with free eyeglasses was given to 54 patients. There were free medicines and gift packs given to all 203 patients who availed of the said services. Excess medicines were donated to the Community Health Center of Brgy. Uwisan. This activity will not be possible without the assistance of the Barangay Officials and Barangay Health Workers of Uwisan, who, together with the NTEPH volunteers made this activity possible. |

| About this activity | Last August 30, 2012 a Voluntary Blood Donation was held again at the NEW HR TRAINING RM at Warehouse Annex (NTEPH Plant). Once again this activity was carried out successfully thru the trained Registered Nurses Phlebotomists from The Philippine Blood Center of the Department of Health through their National Voluntary Blood Services Program. A total of 103 employee conquered their fears and qualified as donors. They proved once again that in this simple act of kindness the blood they shared not only gave life but save thousands of lives instead and such simple act of sharing will go a long long way. |

| About this activity | The activity is a visit to "Bahay ni Maria" (home for the abandoned elderly). Because the LOLAs (aged) of Bahay ni Maria have become close to the hearts of NTEPH employees, the urge to extend the blessings we have received to them was once again felt and thus we revived the Adopt-a-Lola program. Thru this, we have managed to generate fund for the purchase of toiletries, beddings, cleaning supplies, groceries, new clothes and rice. These items were turned over to them thru a very simple ceremony where the LOLAs were also fed lunch brought to the house by the company representatives. |

| About this activity | For the 6th year, NEC/TOKIN Electronics Phils Inc in coordination with The Philippine Blood Center through the National Voluntary Blood Services Program of the Department of Health held its Voluntary Blood Donation last 28 February 2013 at TNCSI Conference Room 3 at Calamba City Laguna. It was successfully carried out thru the untiring effort of trained Registered Nurses Phlebotomists of the Philippine Blood Center and the fearless cooperation of donors. A total of 103 employees, new faces, even the old ones have again conquered their fear to register and donate. A genuine smile can be seen in their faces knowing that through the blood that they gave, a thousand lives will be saved. A simple act of kindness can extend and give life to others. |

| About this activity | Gary Dodd, the CEO of NEC (UK) Ltd talks about this exciting event and explains why NEC in the UK is supporting Cancer Research: "I am very pleased to report that we held our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Event on the 26th April 2012 at Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire and, through the generosity of the participants, we managed to raise about €20,000 for Cancer Research UK." This event also proved to be a very effective means of building relationships and creating new networks. We had 88 players during the day and almost 100 people joining us for the fund-raising dinner in the evening, with a good mix of NEC suppliers, customers, partners and prospects all paying into our charity fund to join us. As the day progressed, there were numerous business discussions taking place too – what a nice way to do business. Events like this don't just happen; there was a lot of preparation work involved. The team worked really hard to make this event a success – their efforts really projected a positive impression of NEC. |
