85 employees qualified as donors on Blood Letting activity held last February 29, 2012 at NTEPH TRAINING RM at Warehouse Annex ( TOPPAN ), This activity was carried out successfully thru the trained Registered Nurses Phlebotomists from The Philippine Blood Center of the Department of Health through their National Voluntary Blood Services Program. New faces and even familiar ones participated on the activity with smile on their face after the donation because they know that once again they were able to extend help for those in need in their own simple way. They know that they Share Love and Save lives thru the blood they give.

Responding to the appeal of the Philippine Red Cross for victims of Typhoon Pedring and Quiel, NEC TOKIN Electronics Philippines, Inc. turned over the donations (in cash and in kind) from the employees, NEC TOKIN Electronics Philippines, Inc.'s Cooperative, Japanese officers, and Japanese support of the company on November 10, 2011. A total of PHP 33,060.50 cash were collected. NEC TOKIN Electronics Philippines, Inc.'s initiative aims to continuously support the ongoing relief and recovery effort for the typhoon victims and reach the most vulnerable Filipinos.

Activities

The generous employees of NEC TOKIN Electronics (Philippines) Inc. in partnership with Batangas State University College of Arts and Sciences has once again extended a helping hand through its Donation Drive Campaign for the benefit of the Rural Poor community of Brgy. Butucan, Nasugbu, Batangas. Items donated were cash amounting of Php1983.50; Medicines; 4 boxes of usable clothes; 4boxes of groceries and a plastic bag of additional groceries.
Donations were handed to the Staff of BSU last August 18, 2011 at NEC TOKIN Meeting Room 1. Among the Staff of BSU present were Associate Dean of College of Arts and Sciences Mr. Jose Alejandro Belen; Extension Coordinator Mr. Aniceto Samonte; Research Coordinator Ms. Carmina Caurez; and Head of Extension Office of BSU Ms. Rosalie Rojales.

Medical & Dental Mission 2011

Activities

The Medical Services and volunteer employees of NEC/TOKIN have once again reached out to the community through its Medical & Dental Mission 2011. The activity involved the consultation of 125 pediatrics patients (age 1mon-15y.o) to Dra. Angela Malinao (Pediatrician); while 54 adult patients (age 19y.o-79y.o) consulted Dra. Maritoni Mabutas (Family Physician). Dental services were provided by our two company dentists Dra. Karen Lirio and Dra. These Espina to 40 patients (age 8y.o and above), some of which had multiple extractions. Free medicines and gift packs were given to all 219 patients who availed of the said services. Excess medicines were donated to the Community Health Center of Brgy. Mayapa. The activity started from 8:00am and lasted untill 12:00nn. This activity will not be possible without the assistance of the Officials and Health Workers of the said barangay, who, together with the NEC TOKIN Electronics (Philippines) Inc. volunteers made this activity a success.

  • Residents of Sitio Sto. Niño were thankful that such activity took place in their community. It helped many indigent people in need of medical & dental care who's not financially capable of providing themselves with such services.
