Today, the issue of environmental problems is one in which humanity must transcend boarders and work together. The solution lies in the absolute necessity that environmental education expand globally and in the importance that this perspective spread from the local to the global level.

In order that "NEC World Children's Nature Club" responds to these types of issues, The "Kiyosato Educational Experiment Project (KEEP)" has taken the leading role in conducting this nature experience program for children in cooperation with nature conservancy groups worldwide. "NEC World Children's Nature Club" is an environmental education program where children can report on the differing natural environments and cultures of their countries via the Internet. (Convened in 2008)

Purpose of This Project

  1. To deepen feelings for one's own environment through comparing one's own region with the region of exchange partners and getting to know the similarities and differences.
  2. To foster a global perspective through sharing a local nature experience.
  3. To deepen mutual understanding through a continuous exchange. And through broadening this exchange, to generate awareness that the world is connected and that one is a global citizen.
  4. To experience the new possibilities of information technology through conducting environmental activities using IT.
